Today, I could not be more grateful for the blessing of media. We heard on Saturday morning that my cousin, Britten Schenk, a missionary in Sau Paulo, Brasil, was hit by a bus on Friday evening, and he is in the hospital in critical condition with about a 40% chance of life. Right now, he is in a medically induced coma, which is supposed to help his body recover more quickly, and have less trauma.
Without the advanced media that we have at this time, his parents and family, and EVERYONE who has been praying for him for the last 4 days may still not know of his condition. Word has been spread so quickly, and almost instantly, hundreds, maybe even thousands have been praying for him, and his family has felt the love and blessings poured out to them from our Heavenly Father.

ReplyDeleteI will definitely be sending prayers your way!!! I hope the best for you and your family. I had a similar situation happen to my family a couple of years ago and it was not an easy situation. My 12 year old cousin was hit by a car and later died in the hospital. I don't tell you this to get you down, but I tell you because my family grew so very close during the weeks he was in the hospital and the time after. It was an amazing testimony building experience. The Lord is truly mindful of each one of us!
